Objectives: The purpose of this course is to prepare Red Cross employees and volunteers to operate a Staff Intake Center. Students will:
- Have the knowledge and skills required to run an intake center for arriving Disaster Services Human Resources (DSHR) staff following a catastrophic or smaller event
- Be able to describe the following components of Staff Services:
- Intake Center
- Disaster Relif Operation (DRO) Info Line
- In-processing Procedures
- DROMIS Staffing
- Lodging
- Disaster Staff Cards
- Out-processing Procedures
- Forms and Contact Information
Prerequisites:
- Red Cross Orientation or New Employee & Volunteer Orientation
- Fulfilling Our Mission or Introduction to Disaster Services
- Fundamentals of Staff Services (online-must be completed by date of class)
- Workforce Planning and Acquisition (online-must be completed by date of class)
