It includes information on the history, mission, fundamental principles, values, policies and procedures, organizational structure, key services, volunteer opportunities and information about how to get started as a volunteer. After this course you should be able to:
- Identify the fundamental principles of the International Red Cross Movement.
- Identify the important people in the history of the American Red Cross.
- Explain the mission of the American Red Cross.
- Identify and describe the values expected of Red Cross volunteers and employees.
- Describe the key services of the American Red Cross.
- Be familiar with the Volunteer Opportunities
- Know how to get started as a Volunteer at your local Chapter
